Are you an independent firm?

BeSafe Property Group is 100% independent and is not affiliated with any real estate agents or third parties. The inspection reports are based entirely on the professional discretion of our highly qualified inspector’s findings, drawn from years of experience in the industry.

Do you have indemnity and public liability insurance?

Yes, absolutely! BeSafe has $2,000,000 in indemnity and $20,000,000 in public liability insurance for your protection.

What areas do you service?

BeSafe is proud to service all of Sydney’s metropolitan areas. However, we can service selected areas of wider Sydney (Central Coast, Wollongong, etc.) upon special request.

Are you a licensed builder?

Yes, all of BeSafe’s inspectors are licensed builders.

Are you able to advise on wall removals?

Upon special request, BeSafe inspectors can advise on whether a specific wall/s can be removed. Please note that this information will be provided verbally and is not included in the written report.

Can you test electrical appliances and air conditioners?

Any visual defects noted, and evidence will be reported on electrical appliances and air conditioners. Upon special request, BeSafe may test the functionality of an appliance. However, this will incur an additional charge. Please get in touch with our team for a quotation on this service.

When arranging a booking with BeSafe, the following details will need to be supplied:

Can I request any special requests at the time of my booking?

Yes, you can. Please inform our team when booking your inspection if you require our BeSafe inspectors to note/advise on any specific areas of concern. Alternatively, you can email us at info@besafeinspections.com.au, and we will ensure your allocated inspector has been notified before the inspection

How do I book an inspection?

Inspection report bookings can be made via the following methods:

What details do I need to provide when booking an inspection?

When booking an inspection with BeSafe, the following details will need to be supplied:

  • Full Name
  • Inspection Address
  • Contact Details including phone number and email address
  • Inspection service requested
  • Real Estate Agent details (if known)
Do I have to arrange access (with the agent/vendor) for the inspection?

BeSafe Property Group will liaise directly with the agent and/or vendor to organise access. Rest assured you will be kept up to date during the booking process and will be notified of the confirmed booking details.

When will the inspection be done?

We endeavour to have the inspection/s done within 24-48 hours of receiving the booking request. This will be subject to access availability with the agent and or vendors.

Once the inspection is confirmed, what happens next?

A minimum of 10% deposit is required to secure your booking. Upon approval, a confirmation email is sent to you outlining all the relevant information relating to your inspection.

Are the inspectors licensed?

BeSafe Property Group only uses fully licensed inspectors.

Can I be present at the time of inspection?

Yes, you may be present at the time of the inspection. Please advise our team if you want to attend, as extra time will need to be allotted. Please note that full payment is required before the inspection if you intend to attend.

Can I call the inspector with any questions and/or concerns?

Absolutely! Your allocated BeSafe inspector’s contact details are provided at the time of your booking confirmation. You are welcome to call your inspector directly to discuss the report and your concerns and ask any questions about the property inspection.

What do you inspect?

BeSafe is a team of professionals who are qualified to inspect the following:

  • Interior and exterior of the building
  • Roof space and under roof space
  • Roof exterior
  • Evidence of dampness

The site:

  • Garage, carport and garden shed
  • Separate laundry or toilet
  • Small retaining wall (non-structural)
  • Steps
  • Fencing
  • Surface water drainage
  • Stormwater run-off
  • Paths and driveways

Timber Pest Inspections:

  • Current termite activity
  • Past activity
  • Extent of damage caused by termites
  • Dry rot or wood rot in timbers
  • Dampness under the house
  • Safety concerns caused by timber pests

It is important to note that all BeSafe inspections meet and comply with the Australian legislation and standards, specifically standard 4349.1.

Are you able to provide an approximate quote on defect repairs?

Upon special request, BeSafe inspectors can provide an approximate quote on repairs. Please note that this information will be provided verbally and is not included in the written report.

What is a pre-agreement?

BeSafe Property Group uses accredited and fully insured inspectors and operates per regulatory requirements and relevant Australian Standards. For your convenience, we have attached a link to download the relevant agreement(s) to ensure compliance. Please ensure you download, read and understand the document(s). If you do not cancel an inspection in advance, we will consider the agreement as ‘accepted’ and proceed with relevant costs and processes.

What happens if I cancel?

Time is critical for all parties involved in the inspection process, so we ask that you be mindful of this. To assist in avoiding or minimising cancellation fees, please cancel as early as possible.  

To cancel, please contact our friendly team at (02) 9410 3740 or email info@besafeinspections.com.au as soon as you know that a cancellation is required. 

Upon cancellation, a ‘Confirmation of Cancellation’ email detailing the appointment cancellation and any fees that may be due is sent. It is important to note that the cancellation is not confirmed until you have received the ‘Confirmation of Cancellation’ email.

Are there any fees or charges if I cancel my inspection?

BeSafe considers that external factors may impact a scheduled appointment with us. However, there are some cancellation fees: 

  • 48+ business hours before the agreed report date/time = no cancellation fees
  • 24-48 business hours before the agreed report date/time = no cancellation fees
  • <24 business hours before the agreed report date/time = 20% of the agreed inspection price 
  • Same day cancellation of agreed report date/time = 50% of the agreed inspection price
Do I need to pay a deposit?

A minimum of 10% deposit is required. To make payment, contact our BeSafe team to secure your booking before the inspection.

How much are the reports?

BeSafe Property Group ensures that competitive quotations are provided. Our quotation will consider the building/property size, the urgency of the inspection, and the report/s required.

How will I receive my report?

The ordered inspection report will be emailed directly to you in PDF format.

When will I receive my report?

Depending on the nature of the report, our BeSafe team endeavours to deliver reports between 24-48 business hours after the inspection has been completed.

Are you able to provide a same-day report?

BeSafe Property Group understands that urgent inspections and reports may be required, offering same-day report services. This will, however, incur a surcharge. Please call our team for an immediate quotation.

Can I see a sample report?

Absolutely. We have several example reports available here.

Are you able to provide a verbal report after inspection?

Yes, verbal reports are available after inspection, upon request. However, payment must be made in full before receiving the report. If you want a verbal report, we kindly ask that you notify our team at the time of booking.

Do your reports include photos?

BeSafe’s comprehensive written reports include all photos taken during the inspection, including but not limited to defects found.
